Top of the Agenda: Mexico Economic Shutdown
Mexico's government announced it would shut down all non-essential businesses for five days in an effort to control the swine flu epidemic that has seized the country (BBC). http://m1e.net/
The New York Times reports the swine flu virus has continued its international spread, albeit slowly, with the number of confirmed cases rising from 257 to 331 over the past day, according to the World Health Organization. http://m1e.net/
Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reports the World Health Organization has no immediate plans to raise its alert level to Level Six, the highest level, after having already bumped its level twice in the past week. http://m1e.net/

IRAN-U.S.: In its annual report on state sponsors of terrorism, the U.S. State Department said Iran is the "most active state sponsor of terrorism" and that Tehran's role in both planning and financing terror operations serves as a major destabilizing force in the Middle East and Afghanistan (RFE/RL). http://m1e.net/
